Breadsticks
These breadsticks are the easiest breadsticks you will ever make and they are super delicious! Perfect to make to go with tonight's dinner! Enjoy!
Breadsticks
Mix together:
2 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp yeast
Then add:
1 1/2 Cups warm water
3 Cups Flour
Mix all together until well combined. You may need to add more flour depending on how sticky it is. I usually have to add a little more. Knead for five minutes. Roll out dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut into strips. Place on a buttered jelly roll pan. Brush breadsticks with some melted butter and sprinkle garlic salt on top. Let raise until they double in size. Place in oven at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Tops will be slightly golden brown. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top when they are still hot so it can melt!! That is all! The easiest breadsticks ever!!

Applebee's Walnut Blondie with Maple Butter Sauce
Have any of you been to Applebee's and had this dessert?? It is seriously so good!! And this recipe lets you eat this deliciousness right in your own home!! You will not be disappointed if you make it right now!!
Blondie
1 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 Cup chopped walnuts
1/3 Cup butter
1 Cup packed brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 Tbsp vanilla
1/2 Cup white Chocolate chips
Maple Sauce
3/8 Cup maple syrup
1/4 Cup butter
3/8 Cup brown sugar
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp maple extract
Vanilla Ice Cream
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Add walnuts, mix well. Add softened butter, brown sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla, blend well. spread the mixture in a lightly greased 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes or until tester toothpick comes out clean.
For the maple butter sauce, add all ingredients except cream cheese. Cook on low until all is melted. Then add cream cheese and stir until all blends and is melted together. Then take a blondie add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top with some maple butter sauce on top of that and you have a delicious dessert that will leave you licking the bowl! Enjoy!

Almond Poppy Seed Bread
I (Kara) am pregnant, yay! Normally I crave anything chocolate. For some reason with this pregnancy chocolate has not been a temptation (I hope that lasts after the pregnancy, ok not really!) The past couple of weeks I have been wanting the Costco almond poppy seed muffins. My mom used to buy these when we were kids, I remember them being so huge I could not eat the whole thing in one setting, I am sure that would not be a problem now, ha! I looked on the internet and came across this recipe, I thought it might fit the bill and it did not disappoint! This bread is so yummy, my son "snuck" 4 pieces the morning I made it!
(The glaze is really really good, but I have made it without the glaze too and it is still fantastic! So if you don't have the glaze ingredients you can just eat the bread plain and it will still taste awesome!)
Almond Poppy Seed Bread
3 c. flour
2 1/3 c. sugar
1 ½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
3 eggs
1 ½ c. milk
1 1/8 c. vegetable oil
1 Tb poppy seeds
1 ½ tsp vanilla
1 ½ tsp almond extract
Glaze:
1/2 tsp almond extract
¾ c. powdered sugar
¼ cup orange juice
½ tsp vanilla
¾ c. powdered sugar
¼ cup orange juice
½ tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 2 9×5 loaf pans. Mix all bread ingredients together then beat for 2 minutes. Pour into pans and bake for 45-60 minutes. Begin checking at 45 minutes.
Mix glaze ingredients in small bowl and pour over hot bread in pans, making sure to cover the entire tops with glaze. Let cool before removing from pans. (Bread freezes well; wrap in plastic wrap and aluminum foil.)

Cinnamon Rolls
These cinnamon rolls are fantastic! First they taste AWESOME! Second they take about two hours total to make (they only have to raise once!). Third the recipe only makes 12 rolls so there are not 45 tasty sweets sitting around my house tempting me all week! Make them this afternoon, you will not be disappointed!
Every Day Cinnamon Rolls
Dough
1 cup milk
4 Tbs butter, cut into chunks
3 1/4 – 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 (.25 ounce) package instant or ‘rapid rise’ yeast (about 2 1/4 tsp)
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
Filling
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, softened
Icing
1 1/2 C powdered sugar
2 T melted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1-2 Tbs milk
Dough: Place milk and 4 Tbs butter in a microwave safe bowl. Heat on high for 1 minute 30 seconds. Butter should be at least partially melted. Stir and set aside. In a large mixing bowl whisk together 2 C flour, yeast, white sugar, and salt. When milk mixture has cooled to warm (not hot) add it to the flour mixture along with the egg while the beater (paddle attachment for those using a stand mixer) is running. Beat until well combined, about 1 minute. (Switch to the dough hook now) Add remaining flour only until dough barely leaves the sides of the bowl. It should be very soft and slightly sticky. Continue to let the dough knead for 5 minutes. If you are not using a stand mixer, turn dough out onto floured surface and knead for 5 minutes by hand. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and let rest for about 10 minutes while you make the filling.
Filling: make sure butter is softened well. Mix with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Assembly: Roll dough into a rectangle about 12 x 14 inches. Spread brown sugar mixture (it will be slightly thick, you might have to “crumble” it) over the surface and use your fingers or the back of a spoon to gently spread around. Roll up from the longer side of the rectangle and pinch edges closed. Score the roll into 12 equal pieces and then cut into rolls. Place in a 9 x 13 pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Cover pan with a clean towel and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. In the mean time, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
When rolls have finished rising bake for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown. If desired spread with icing while still warm. Makes 12 rolls.

Cutlers Sugar Cookies with Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
Have any of you ever been to Cutlers in Layton or Bountiful!?? Their cookies are so delicious. I (Joni) had the opportunity to go take a class from them to learn how their sugar cookies are made! This Sugar Cookie recipe is seriously the best! Sugar Cookies are not just for the holidays anymore once you try these. You will find yourself making them all the time.
Cutlers Sugar Cookies
1 1/2 cups Butter
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
5 cups cake flour
Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and the vanilla mix until well blended. Add the dry ingredients. Notice that the flour is cake flour and not just regular flour. Once that is all mixed well gather dough in a ball and chill the dough for about an hour before you roll it out. This makes it much easier to work with. Roll dough out about a 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutter. Place on pan and bake at 350 for about 10 minutes or until the tops of the cookies are slightly cracked and the edges are very lightly browned.
Butter Cream Frosting
1 cup butter
4-5 cups powdered sugar
2-3 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
Beat butter until soft. Add milk and vanilla. Slowly add in powdered sugar. May need more or less powdered sugar depending on the consistency that you like.

Caramel Corn
Caramel Corn is by far one of our faves! So addicting and so good! This recipe comes from our good friend Cindie and we find ourselves making it quite often. I have changed a few things. I add two bags of mini marshmallows instead of one. I like the extra yumminess and stickiness! And its great that most ingredients are already in the pantry! Enjoy!
2 bags of mini marshmallows
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup popcorn kernals
Over low heat combined butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla. Once that is all melted gradually add the two bags of marshmallows. While the marshmallows are slowly melting pop your 1/2 cup of popcorn kernals in your popcorn popper. Once all the marshmallows have melted in with your brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla pour immediately over popcorn and mix well. Then begin eating! Trust me you wont be able to just have a little. You will find yourself eating more than you had planned on!
