Bright Blue Rose Cake

This cake was so fun to make.  The cake was blueberry with blueberry frosting!  And then some fun rough buttercream rose swirls!  Enjoy!  If you need a cake email me.  twosweettreats@gmail.com

Valentines Wreath

I (Joni) had a fun time making this wreath the other day, and had most of the supplies already at home.  I already have it up on my door and I am sure my neighbors think I am weird but with Valentines only being one day I feel like I have to have it up as long as I can.  I love how it turned out and it was so fast to make.

Valentines Wreath

Jute
Wreath Form
Hot glue gun
Embroidery floss
needles (For embroidery floss)
Ribbon (To hang wreath from door)
Felt (Individual squares sold at Hobby Lobby for .79)

All you have to do is wrap the Jute tightly around the wreath form.  Then cut all sizes of hearts and be creative.  I stitched a few with embroidery floss but you wouldn't have too if you didn't want.  I even had some burlap that I cut into hearts as well.  Then get creative, place where you want on wreath.  The ribbon I used to hang the wreath with was some I had left over from Christmas and I think it worked great.

Gluten Free Chocolate snack bites

My sister (Joni) was just diagnosed with a wheat allergy and was told she needed to eat gluten free. I know this has been an adjustment for her, so I have been trying to find recipes that included ingredients she could eat. This recipe below is a winner and a great snack for after school or in between lunch and dinner!

Makes approximately 12 snack bites

2/3 cup quick oats
1/4 cup plus 3 tbsp oat flour (just grind some oats up in the blender)
2 tbsp coca
1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl mix melted coconut oil, water, and vanilla. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until fully incorporated. Refrigerate mixture for 1/2 hour, then form into balls 1 and 1/2 inch balls. Keep balls in refrigerator.
